Marc Fasteau

Marc Fasteau is the founder and former Chairman of the Board of the American Strategic Insurance companies, a property and casualty insurance group with $1.3 billion in annual premium, now majority-owned by Progressive Insurance. He is also a partner in Sereno Properties, the owner and developer of exclusive hotels in St. Barths and Lake Como, Italy.

Mr. Fasteau was an investment banker in New York for 14 years, most recently as a partner in Dillon Read & Co.

Mr. Fasteau holds a BA cum laude from Harvard College and a JD magna cum laude from Harvard Law School, where he was an Editor of the Law Review. For three years between college and law school, he worked in Washington where he served on the professional staffs of the Majority Leader of the Senate, the  Joint Economic Committee and the House Banking and Currency Committee.
